OUTC Mailing List
The OUTC mailing distributes emails to all if the members of the list. This is another channel for all the last minute updates from the club. Upcoming trips outside the schedule, changes to already scheduled trips, slide shows, and that sort of things.
There is also a outcexec list which operates in exactly the same way. This list is there to avoid spamming people who don't want to know about the runnings of the club. People who are interested are encouraged to join this list (we can't do it for you) so that they can see how things are run. Anyone can join either of these lists.
How to post to the list?
The list accepts postings from anyone so you can post to it fromany email address.
To email the OUTC list members use the address outc@stonebow.otago.ac.nz
To email the OUTCEXEC list members use the address outcexec@stonebow.otago.ac.nz
How do I join to receive emails?
To become a member of the list please complete the following step by step guide:
1.) Create a new email to be sent to listproc@stonebow.otago.ac.nz.
2.) In the message body of the email write : subscribe outc
3.) After the words "subscribe outc" add your name.
The message body should now look like subscribe outc John Doe
4.) Send the email
[p][b]NB. The subject line of the email MUST be left blank, otherwise an error message will be sent by the list server[/b][/p]How do remove myself from the list?
1.) Create a new email to be sent to listproc@stonebow.otago.ac.nz from the email account that is currently subscribed.
2.) In the message body of the email write : unsubscribe outc
4.) Send the email
NB. The subject line of the email MUST be left blank, otherwise an error message will be sent by the list server. Also if the email is not sent from the current email address subscribed your settings will not be deleted.
